Gooseberry Glen is a charming little world created by Meghan Truman. Here the kettle is always whistling, and every day holds a story waiting to be told. Tucked among rolling meadows and winding streams, this cozy critter community is home to Felicity Fox, Periwinkle Pig, and many more delightful friends—each with their own adventures, lessons, and heartwarming moments to share. Life in the glen is slow and sweet, filled with tea parties under ivy-covered trellises, letters written and sealed with wax and care, and the kind of kindness that makes the world a little brighter.

In the glen you have found a place to savor life's simple joys, celebrate the beauty of childhood storytelling, and embrace the warmth of timeless friendships. Meet Miss Meghan

I have always cherished tea time—savoring a warm cup, slowing down, and sharing sweet treats with friends. As a little girl, I collected miniature tea sets, each one a tiny promise of delightful gatherings to come. Even now, I find there’s nothing quite as lovely as tea for two.

The tales of Gooseberry Glen began with Felicity Fox and Her Tea Time Troubles and have only grown from there! I can’t wait to introduce you to Periwinkle Pig, Marigold Mouse, the Badger Brothers, and so many other endearing critters who call Gooseberry Glen home.

It is my heartfelt hope to see these stories nestled on the shelves of cozy bookshops one day. If you happen to know someone in the publishing world who might enjoy a visit to Gooseberry Glen, I’d be so grateful if you passed my name along.

Tea Party Hat Tutorial

SUPPLIES

headband
scrap of felt (1.5 x 3.5-inch strips)
smidgen of tulle (6in wide)
silk flowers
Additional decorative elements
- ribbons
- feathers
- butterflies
- pearls
hot glue gun

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare the Base: Cut a strip of felt approximately 1.5 x 3.5 inches. Cut two small slits in the felt, then slide it onto one side of the headband, near the top. Secure it in place with hot glue. This will serve as the base for attaching decorations.

2. Add Volume: Make a large bow or single loop from the tulle and hot glue it to the felt base.

3. Decorate: Begin adding embellishments to the base and around the tulle. Hot glue feathers, faux flowers, pearls, or any other decorative elements that tickle your fancy. Small details such as butterflies or bees add a fun whimsical touch!

Once the glue dries the headband is ready to wear! Parade around in it with the same pomp & pizzazz as Periwinkle Pig, and enjoy a magical cup of tea!
